Australia Innovative Solutions Group
About AIS Group

A group of companies, built around what customers needed next

AIS Group is the umbrella for four companies and a logistics arm that design, manufacture, deliver and support agricultural, insulation and building systems in the Philippines.

Who we are

The Australia Innovative Solutions Group brings together Australia Farm Innovations, Innovative Fibre Industries, Australia Building Innovations and Australia Software Technology, with Innovative Freight & Logistics as the group’s logistics arm. The companies are based in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, with regional facilities in Batangas and Tarlac, and work across the Philippines.

The group was founded by Hugh McDougall and has grown from the inside out since 2012, when Innovative Fibre Industries began manufacturing cellulose insulation in Subic Bay. Australia Farm Innovations followed in 2016 to meet demand for efficient, high-quality prefabricated agricultural buildings and equipment, and has since become the group’s turnkey delivery arm. Australia Building Innovations was established in 2023 to give the group its own steel systems, building products and engineering.

What the companies share is a way of working: Australian engineering standards applied to Philippine construction and agriculture, with design, manufacturing, delivery and support kept under the same roof.

How we work

Four things that hold across the group

01

Built from the inside out

The group has grown by starting companies to bring capabilities in-house, not by acquisition. Each one was set up to answer a need the others kept meeting: insulation, turnkey delivery, steel systems and engineering, software, logistics.

02

Quality controlled in the factory

The companies machine, fabricate, assemble and stage components in their own facilities, so quality is checked before anything reaches site rather than improvised on it.

03

One team, one contract

A customer deals with one accountable team from design to handover, whether the job is a single building or a complete facility that draws on several companies.

04

There after handover

AFI’s maintenance programmes, breakdown response, spare parts and inspections keep farms running, including buildings and equipment supplied by others, and the other companies support what they install.

Facilities

5 facilities, 15,600 sqm, shared by the group

The head office, engineering team and three factories are in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone. Regional facilities in Batangas and Tarlac put manufacturing and warehousing closer to projects in southern and central Luzon.
